April 29, 2018 – Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a house fire in the 2900 block of Jaffe Drive in the Arundel community at 10:18 PM.  Upon arrival firefighters reported smoke showing from the two story structure.  The fire was reported in the attic.
 

Firefighters were able to quickly locate the fire and extinguish the blaze.  The house also suffered smoke and water damage.   The fire was contained in the attic area.
 

Firefighters from Belvedere, Hockessin, Elsmere and Cranston Heights Fire Companies assisted on the original alarm.  Approximately 40 firefighters responded.  No injuries were reported to the residents of the home or firefighters.   Crews remained on the scene for almost two hours.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
