On September 15, 2020 at 6:25 AM the Mill Creek Fire Company along with six other fire companies were dispatched to a house fire with subjects trapped in the 100 block of Rockrose Drive in the community of Meadowood.   As firefighters from Mill Creek arrived on the scene, they reported smoke showing from the two-story structure.    They were informed that all six occupants of the home made a safe exit out of the house.   Firefighters quickly.extinguished the fire in the basement.
 

Approximately 30 firefighters from Mill Creek, Newark, Hockessin, Cranston Heights, Christiana, and Minquas Fire Companies responded to the alarm.   The alarm was declared under control at 6:55 AM.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.  No injuries were reported.
