May 29, 2019 – Mill Creek Fire Company and neighboring fire companies responded to a residential fire in the 300 block of Mitchell Drive, Mitchell Estates at 4:25 AM.   As firefighters arrived they found heavy fire showing from a second floor window.     Approximately 30 firefighters battled the blaze.   The fire was declared under control at 4:49 AM.    The home was heavily damaged by fire and smoke.
 

The single occupant of the home escaped without injury.   Mill Creek Fire Company was assisted at the scene by Cranston Heights, Five Points, Hockessin and Minquas Fire Companies.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.   Firefighters cleared the scene at 6:15 AM.
