On July 5, 2020, a Mill Creek Fire Company fire command vehicle was traveling through the Arundel community just off of Limestone Road (Rt 7) at approximately 1:48 PM when a passerby flagged them down and reported a house was on fire just up the road.    The crew pulled up to the home in the 1300 block of Arundel Drive and found smoke pouring from attic area.  

New Castle County Fireboard was notified and Mill Creek Fire Company, Cranston Heights, Elsmere, Hockessin, Minquas, Belvedere and Christiana Fire Companies were dispatched.   The fire was contained in the attic and was placed under control within 30 minutes.   Approximately 25 firefighters responded to the scene.   The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.   Damaged was confined to the attic and 2^nd story bedroom.
