On September 3, 2020 at 2:20 AM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a serious car crash on Capitol Trail and Lawrence Avenue.   The vehicle landed upside down after hitting two utility poles, a tree, veering off an embankment and landing upside down.
 

When firefighters arrived, they had determined the lone occupant of the vehicle had self-extricated and fled the scene.   He was later found not far from the scene and apprehended.
 

Debris from the crash was scattered 200’ down the roadway.   The Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.  Preliminary reports indicate the vehicle was just stolen from a local gas station.
