November 20, 2020 - A passing motorist calls 9-1-1 after seeing a house on fire in the 2400 block of Duncan Road near Milltown.  New Castle County Fireboard dispatched the alarm just before 4:00 PM.  Mill Creek Fire Company was assisted by Cranston Heights, Belvedere, Minquas and Elsmere Fire Companies. 

As fire fighters arrived, they reported smoke showing from the house and assistance was brought in from the Five Points Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics.   Duncan Road between Kirkwood Highway and Milltown Road was shut down.

Approximately 30 fire fighters battled the blaze.  No injuries were reported.   The scene was cleared at 5:30 PM.   The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
