On October 18, 2021, at 7:33 PM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a rollover motor vehicle crash (MVC) in the 2700 Block of Capitol Trail near Meadowood.  Multiple units responded to the scene and arrived within four minutes of dispatch. 


Firefighters immediately started the extrication process with one person heavily trapped in the overturned vehicle.   Using hydraulic rescue tools, firefighters were able to remove the side of the four-door sedan to allow EMS and New Castle County Paramedics to attend to the patient.   The patient was transported to the Christiana Hospital.

The eastbound lanes of Capitol Trail (RT 2) were closed for an extended period while the Delaware State Police investigated the cause of the crash.   Units cleared the scene at 10:29 PM.
