October 5, 2023 – Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched at 12:31 PM to a motor vehicle crash in the 1100 block of McKennans Church Road in the Sherwood Park community.   Units responding were advised that a motor vehicle had crashed into a home.  Additional reports indicated an unconscious person in the vehicle.

Emergency personnel arriving on the scene reported a single person trapped in the vehicle and requested the New Castle County special operations collapse team to respond.   In addition to Mill Creek Fire Company responding to the scene, additional resources were requested from Christiana, Claymont Delaware City, Five Points Fire Companies and the New Castle County paramedics.
 

The person in the vehicle was quickly extricated and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Center.   The New Castle County Police and DELDOT were also on the scene.  All firefighters cleared the scene just before 2:00 PM.
