April 7, 2024 – Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at 9:57 PM with multiple patients and a person trapped.   Firefighters arrived at the crash at Kirkwood Highway and Milltown Road and determined six vehicles were involved with a total of seven patients.   No one was trapped in a vehicle.

The east and west bound lanes of Kirkwood Highway were shut down to manage the crash scene.  Ambulances from Mill Creek  (2), Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder, Cranston Heights, Elsmere Fire Companies and the University of Delaware transported the patients to the Christiana Hospital.   The New Castle County Paramedics also respond to the crash.

Firefighters cleared the scene at 11:15 PM.   The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
