July 5, 2024 – At 9:12 PM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a report of a vehicle and train collision at the Stanton Road railroad crossing.   Firefighters and emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene to find a vehicle approximately 300’ down the railroad tracks.  The sole occupant of the vehicle refused medical services.   The CSX freight train was able to stop approximately a mile from the railroad crossing.    

Mill Creek Fire Company was assisted by Belvedere and Minquas Fire Companies along with the New Castle County paramedics.    The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.    All units cleared the scene at 10:09 PM.
