On December 17, 2011 at approximately 7:15 PM Mill Creek Fire Company was alerted to a motor vehicle crash (MVC) in front of the Western YMCA at 2607 Capitol Trail. A total of six patients were transported to the Christiana Hospital in five ambulances. Four of the six were classified as trauma patients although no life threatening injuries were reported. All patients were out of the vehicles when firefighters arrived on the scene within minutes of the dispatch. Besides the two vehicles involved in the crash two other vehicles parked in the YMCA parking lot were struck.
