On November 24, 2014 at approximately 6:50 AM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a house fire at 4 Dorking Court in the Sheridan Square community off of Limestone Road.   The initial dispatch also notified Cranston Heights and Belvedere Fire Companies.   As firefighters arrived on the scene the alarm was upgraded to a working fire with assistance from Elsmere, Minquas, Five Point, the City of Wilmington Fire Department and NCC paramedics.   Firefighters encountered a basement fire with heavy smoke and heat conditions throughout the single story residence.    The fire was quickly knocked down.    One firefighter and two residents were transported to the Christiana Hospital.   The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
