Meadowood - On January 10th, 2015 at approximately 10:11 AM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a working commercial building fire in the 2600 block of Capitol Trail.   As firefighters arrived they found fire showing from the front of a restaurant located in the Meadowood Shopping Center.   Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze quickly and prevent the fire spread to neighboring stores.   Around 40 firefighters responded to the blaze.  Assistance was provided by Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder (Newark), Christiana, Belvedere, and Minquas (Newport) Fire Companies.  No injuries were reported and the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
