December 12, 2023 – At 7:16 AM the Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a serious motor vehicle crash on Limestone Road (RT 7) in the area of Ascension Drive just north of Arundel.   Firefighters, EMT’s and New Castle County Paramedics arrived on the scene to find one person trapped in a vehicle.  Crews immediately started the extrication process, and the person was removed from the vehicle in ten minutes.

Southbound traffic on Limestone Road was shut down during the busy morning commute.   Cranston Heights Fire Company also responded to the scene and assisted with the extrication. The person was transported to the Christiana Hospital by Mill Creek Fire Company.

The Department of Transportation (DELDOT) responded to the scene with arrow boards and a street sweeper. The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
