Joseph "Joe" H. Mullins passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday November 9, 2014. He was born in Marshallton to the late Carolyn F. and John T. Mullins. Joe graduated from Conrad HS. He served his country during WWII in the US Navy, surviving two sinking ships. Joe worked for General Motors for 35 years, where he worked in Plant Protection, retiring in 1986. He retired from LabCorp, as a courier after 20 years. Joe's life was committed to serving the community with outstanding devotion and leadership as a Lifelong Member at Mill Creek Fire Company for over 75 years, where he served as Fire Chief for 25 years. Joe was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife of 68 years, June T. Mullins, 2 daughters, Suzanne Hearn (Gerald) of Newark and Carol Horn (Rick); 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, his son, Joseph and his grandson, Gilbert.
