Ashley Furio, loving daughter, sister and friend, passed suddenly on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at her home in Lewes, Delaware. She was 25 years old. Born May 18, 1989, she was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's Elementary School and Padua Academy. Driven by her love of caring for others, Ashley was pursuing a degree in nursing and, in the meantime, obtained a Certified Nursing Assistant diploma. She also took her talents to Delaware State Fire School and was certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as an EMT-Basic becoming a proud member of Mill Creek Fire House and, later, Lewes Fire House. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at the beach and surf fishing with her family and friends, searching for seashells and playing corn hole. Most of all, she enjoyed the simple things in life: playing with her beloved dogs, Elvis and Dewey, listening to her favorite music and simply hanging out with friends and her boyfriend Jesse.
