Jay G. Stephenson, 70 of Millsboro, DE departed this life on December 20, 2013 at home. Jay was born in Wilmington, DE son the late Joseph and Jayne Stephenson. After graduating from Dickinson High School and a brief period in the Air Force, he began working in the heating and air conditioning business. His true passion was serving his community as a volunteer fireman. His service began in Wilmington, DE with the Mill Creek Fire Company while still in high school. To further his career as a volunteer he graduated from EMT school in 1992. After moving to Millsboro he joined the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. Jay was also a 1st Lt. in the Civil Air Patrol and flew many DelDot Missions with the Squadron located in Georgetown. He was also an active member with the American Legion Post #28 of Millsboro, DE.
